Nope, I did try. The cable routing points it straight out to the side. When you’re on the small ring, there’s not much clearance to avoid it, and the cable's memory wants to slowly point back at my leg.

Neutral: I’ve just been getting back on the bike the past month and a half or so. I sprained my ankle last spring and got “too busy” to ride consistently later in the season. I’m back to feeling strong again, but it’ll be a few weeks more before I feel like i can push my heart and lungs as much as I used to.
