It’s a convertible tablet, and I still didn’t care for how it worked.

No, it’s a robot girl marrying a Nazi. Color me confused.

Not really. It’s currently the better tablet OS. Also, the desktop part of it works just as well as Windows 7, especially after Windows 8.1 Update 1. I can adapt to GUI changes without too much issue.

Please read my reply to chiefnoah. The reasons are well laid out, I think. I don’t even hate the operating system in its entirity. It’s just certain deal-breakers. It’d be like finding a great house, but a hobo periodically comes over to eat your breakfast; or finding a great guy/girl to date, but they’re a drug

Yeah, it’s been around. I saw it the other day on Star or BS Cinema (Japanese stations). It was interesting for a bit.

I don’t know about that. Usually, I’m HideyoshiJP. From time to time, though, I become the Domino’s guy, or at least I sure drive like one. Do you think the systems can deal with that?

That’s insane to think about. It would be nice to have uhh... 102 almost two hundred horsepower. I hear it has torque, too. I once drove a car with that.

You’re right in that a lot of people are stupid. People need to run security updates. The people who are bitching are *usually* a smarter group, though. Hell, a lot of them even wanted to like Windows 10. I know I did.

Yeah, they keep republishing it. It almost feels like every few days. It’s so annoying.

Fair enough. I’ve resorted to doing only more critical/security updates on an immediate basis, then researching the recommended updates on a vaguely semi-monthly basis. I also don’t have the “give me recommended upates the same way [yada yada]” box checked.

Fuckin’ A.

Why should anybody care about the product of someone who doesn’t care about what his or her customers want? Also, you can do plenty on Windows 7 and 8. Arguably, you can do more with Win32 than you can do with WinRT.

Let me tell you a story where people didn’t upgrade from IE6, because they bought some solution that cost millions of dollars. It held them back. Some salesmen told them it was the bee’s knees, because the Internet wast the future. He said IT would never have to install individual client software again. What he didn’t

I’m opposed to using an operating system that does not respect my wishes. Aside from Windows Update, telemetry, and the inability to disable Windows Defender, Windows 10 is quite good. My problem is the shift they’ve made with how they treat their end-users.

It will stop it if you never install KB3035583.

Yes, tell them what they should do with their things.

This is why I always set Windows updates to “Check for updates, but let me choose when to download and install them.” Yes, I’m still on 8.1. I’ve been installing new Microsoft OSes in release month since the XP days, so I’m no luddite. With the exception of my gaming PC, none of my machines are going to Windows 10.

It’s a shame nobody ever figured out how to make a seismically sound parking garage.

It’s good information to know if you ever drive in Japan. Though, the TL;DR version is essentially “You need a GPS. Even Japanese get lost with this ridiculous system.”
