Bring back the 5-5-5 and we’ll talk, Dominos.

“This peaceful civilizations turns, willingly, into an authoritarian dictatorship in the span of a decade.”

The only part of this story that surprises me is that Pinkertons are still around. I think I’d assumed they went defunct sometime during the FDR Administration.

People would be better off re-balancing their deductions to see the money in every paycheck...”

Another one you missed: a big sarcastic thank you for having high-intensity headlights which are blindingly bright, even when not on high beam. Especially when used on an SUV or truck so that said headlights are at the perfect height to interfere with a sedan driver’s eyes.

In addition to a watermark, I only use a relatively low-res version of my images. Good enough for a preview on a website, not good enough for actual prints.

Exactly. It’s a mistake to think of it as a weekly version of The Daily Show. John Oliver has carved out a niche as arguably the only true long-form news comedian; there are likely only so many 15-20 minute segments on one subject they can produce.
