The top screen is 400x240. You have to have 2 images for 3d. Low, sure, but it would still be a pretty big file uncompressed.

Slow is the worst possible thing for a game engine. For everything else, java's awesome. Real time stuff? No thank you.

You have to take into account this isn't "2 weeks later", (spoilahs ahoy)and we learned a lot from Sovereign and the collector base. If you kept the base, we might even have our own reaper by the time Mass Effect 3 takes place.
