I know 15 people that own a gamecube for Smash Bros. Melee and nothing else, and 7 that bought a Wii just for Brawl (oddly only a 2 person overlap there).

I hope we don't get too many points, or they will set the precedent for graphics, they way PS2 and gamecube ports did for the Wii. It was capable of so much more, but no one bothered.

But the Vita is going to cost as much as the Wii U will, and you still have to buy a PS3 to go with it in that case.
