Also forgotten:
Final Fantasy X - instead of VII
F2P is not a "Disruptive Innovation" - it's just a zombie version of the Arcade model that they all cream over so much, and this time it's the Zombie Apocalypse.
As a side note, if you'd ever be lookin' to collaborate, I have a solo project in the oven at the moment....
That's why I am glad that I got out when I did - I had three options that were in the biz:
One was Lego Universe [shuttered, would have had to move to Denver from my comfortable hometown]
One was FFXIV 1.0 - and while I would KILL to work at Square-Enix, I would have had to move to Los Angeles on 30,000/year. I would be…
Yeah, well, you're a fucking Marxist, and I don't take YOU seriously, either - and don't think you can hide behind NAFALT, especially when what I accuse you of - cutting off the legs of the tall to make everyone 'feel' equal in height - is foundational to your movement and still taught in Universities in your "gender…
Well, all the games I've ever made with it have been.
How dare we like direct narrative, instead of watered-down experiential narrative!
We are such non-gamer heathens!
You couldn't be more wrong.
RPG Maker is an Isometric engine, for one.
For two, they don't charge anything for you using the engine to make a game, and the assets included with the purchase of the engine are also free license, but most people prefer to make their own.

In a day and age when I am shamed and disallowed participation in discussion of issues [because I am one of the 'evil' penis-bearing oppressors, despite my social class and the fact that I'm just a normal man who wants happiness and a family], and when said issues are sounding what could be the final toll of the bell…
I find it funny that in countries where there are open BDSM dungeons and people have arguably kinkier sex than most other places - even for money! - the visual depiction of cartoons performing a similar act is considered worthy of censure.
I have loved your work, for literally YEARS, almost DECADES now.
You have some of the highest quality stuff out there, and while I understand your partial reservation at finishing the work, it was, and is, really fantastic.
Ken has forgotten the sole purpose of the internet - I'll let Trekkie Monster re-iterate:
Metal Gear Online.
I understand the law, and I don't disagree with its intent, but I disagree with the law itself, if that makes sense.
Not understanding the Constitution, and by extension, the Founders, eh?
Oh boy, this'll be good:
But doesn't making people "protected classes" to begin with stink of discrimination and favoritism?
How about: Everyone just has Essential Liberty, and nobody is Socially Engineering or artificially Leveling Playing Fields, so we're all playing the same game by the same rules?
No, that makes too much sense, and doesn't…
But you are essentially saying that the Government has the right to compel someone by force to make a wedding cake for a wedding they don't want to make a cake for; can you tell me how that's not totalitarian, pretty please?
I'm just going to leave this here:
Having been on the other side of cheating as a man [ex fiance ran around on me and then left, and came back, and left, and came back, whenever I was convenient - and I'd loved her since childhood, so I played along out of hope], all I can say, Mr. Cash and Neil Diamond before him, have said far better:
How about we just not give anybody tax credits to run their business?
That way everyone wins. And we save money. That we didn't have in the first place but people want to spend.
