That too. Auron's a quintessential Ronin, so there's some of that at play, too.
Easy answer: He was more powerful with that arm.
While I appreciate the humor, please know that what I mean is that replacing a non-reproductive or non-replacement-level reproductive population with another doesn't solve the reproduction problems of the original population. It just replaces them with other people.
I know. But my contention is that below-replacement-level reproduction in a population is a bad thing, and not just something you solve by supplanting the population with other people.
I see a flaw in your argument:
You contend that population should be kept steady by immigration of mass numbers of replacements, rather than by breeding within the extant population.
That is not the same. It's a false comparison.
Or this one?
If I'd have known he was doing an AMA, I'd have asked him what he thought of this:

Or the marriage and childbirth rates, both of which…
Sticks in wrong place.... cannot buy.
And next you're going to tell me that filling a bucket in the deep end of the pool, and dumping it in the shallow end doubles the water from the bucket.
You and Keynes can keep saying that, but common sense says otherwise.
Actually, traditionally there have been multiple CR's - as-in, well within its right, the House of Representatives can choose to fund or not fund any program they desire.
Mods can double or triple that.
