This is the one that was part of the legend of Audi's Quattro drive for years and years - I still love it.

Nah I will take your word for it - I just find I am not super smooth coming out of an SL and I can't see how coming out of an Elise would be any smoother. Question for you though - how is the room inside - do you feel shoehorned in or is it tight but manageable? Also wanted to say - good on ya for getting your 17…
Hold the phone fellow six foot 240 pounder - I want the video of you getting out! Getting in is way easier - getting out without looking like Cannon from the 70's is different.
But if you step back from the feature/ride comparison there are similarities in what they are trying to do. They are trying to take a brand that is known for being a car for the "upwardly frugal" and competing against a brand that is known for "CEO" especially if you are going against the S Class. It is a classic…
A w140 meets a Grand National - ohhhh yeah!
It is an Audi TT - Google "Nikki Kyle car" - NSFW (and you are welcome)
I am with you - I was starting to seriously fall in love and then I saw those seats - no I cannot love thee the way I want to.
As an owner of a 95 SL320 I will concur - it has just enough power so that it is not embarrassing - but falls short of satisfying.
And the theme song was the best!
I wholeheartedly agree.
Exactly - first thing I thought was hmmmm TT much but throw some girth and yeah - there ya go.
Thank you - I was scrolling waiting for it to be number one - but alas it was not to be. I would also put the w140 down but that is just me.
What! I did not know that - that is crazy - is nothing sacred! When did all this happen? I feel like Rip Van Winkle waking up from a bad nap! Thank you for educating me - Now I am wholeheartedly on your side!
To be fair I think MB knows its audience because those that can appreciate the car know that a E63 AMG is:
Imagine a provincial government that makes good road safety laws - I hope Ontario takes Quebec's lead on this issue.
I always thought the hammer was a 4-door - but I see that I am wrong.
Seriously - that is so awesome. It looks like you can pull up to the Plaza and then go Rally it. Is this your ride?
I am with you on this one. We get to own awesome cars for a fraction of the MSRP - I was looking at this 2014 and thinking, this will be nice to own 6-8 years from now :-).
Absolutely they depreciate so quickly - however once the CEO has written off the car lease he can always hand it in for a new one ever few years. People are also scared to own them because you have to have a healthy maintenance budget to keep it on the road.
The thing that is so impressive is that this is a big car, like all long wheel base S classes this thing looks and feels like it should be slow and steady. I have the first edition of this car - a 92 V12 600 SEL - and it hauls faster and pulls way harder than my 93 - S4, 84 - 928 or 80 - 3.6 conversion 911 ever did. …
