I’ve been a programmer for years, a lead programmer for 1.5 years, and now a game designer for 1.5 years. It never ceases to amaze me how poorly QA are treated. :(

It’s entirely possible that the whole “we’ve only heard of this guy when he does stuff like this” is partially contributing to his mental problems. He’s apparently trying to make his professional career one of a professional attention-getter. It’s a really bad and dangerous feedback loop to discover that your “fans”

It’s public because he’s struggling and lives a semi-public life. Suffering openly isn’t a weakness and it doesn’t mean he’s acting/being dramatic.

Just another reminder that while digital storefronts do shit like this, it’s not exactly easy to find used physical versions of games as well. I get it, we want to have access to games, but even for a limited window of a decade it’s nice to have access to rare games (Suikoden 2? Which isn’t even playable on the PS4
