Amen to that. My Xbox 360 got the most use this generation, and my Gamecube was last gen. I don't really care whose console I buy as long as it fits with my needs, and the current crop of rumours do not fit with my needs. I find myself completely ambivalent toward the next generation of consoles, and it's not because

Captain (and later Admiral) David Anderson from Mass Effect. He's a big goddamn hero, as Zaeed would say (RIP, Robin Sachs). He's a total badass, almost the first human Spectre of the galaxy, first human to tangle with Saren Arterius, first human councilor (in most playthroughs) and mentor to Commander Shepard who is

I think it's justified, personally. Fans get attached to the works of artists, and then they feel they can somehow dictate how those artists express themselves. It doesn't work that way.

Right? But it's not like my generation didn't cling to stupid things too. Pogs most notably.

But a lot of them are morons. Do you hate GRRM for calling his obnoxious fanboys morons, too?

It was like when Beyblades were all the rage, I was floored by that. They seemed so friggin lame. I was working for a toy distributor at the time and had to make a lot of the displays for the stores and stuff.

As a console fangirl since the 80s, I find myself agreeing with the PC club about these next-gen consoles. Looks like I'll just be making a gaming PC for the living room, nothing they've said about the new consoles has in any way excited me, and that makes me kind of sad. It feels like the end of an era for me.

You've obviously never been to BC. Crown Vics aren't the only ghost cars the RCMP use, they've started using impound cars as well. RCMP can be in any kind of vehicle, SUV, sedan, hatchback, minivan, truck, you just don't know. Is it evil? Yeah, a little bit. Is it effective? You bet your ass. This guy's car doesn't

They can be any make as well. I saw a Ford hatchback ghost car pulling over someone on the highway near Ladysmith. They're using impound cars as ghost cars now to save money, and it's incredibly effective. Any car on the road can be a ghost car now, so people should stop driving like idiots.

I did the trifecta this generation. My Wii got borrowed by my sister-in-law 4 years ago and I haven't missed it yet. My PS3 is currently sitting in a closet. I had to do a thorough cleaning of all of my electronics and stuff about a year ago, and I never hooked my PS3 back up. I mean to, but it really has no use in my

I read this with the patriarchy app for chrome, it made it hilarious.

Yeah, that's way on the end of the other spectrum. Chris Benoit did something so vile that no amount of facts (head trauma and steroid abuse) will ever make him a sympathetic figure.

There's something seriously wrong with these 'otaku' then. Japan already has a mega fucked up relationship with sex, but this takes it to a whole other level of crazy. Human beings have sex, celebrities or not. It's one of our base functions, like breathing and pooping. 'Purity' is a load of horsecrap and always has

Jesus! I was just waxing goddamn nostalgic.

Oh no, this is so sad. I love Robin Sachs, he's a phenomenal actor and never got the attention he deserved. My heart goes out to his loved ones, what a terrible tragedy. He was still so young.

I know all the best places to eat here, I look forward to hopefully meeting you one day. Happy travels, mon ami.

I love the hostility and name-calling here. Guess what? Minecraft is not some genius work of art. It's virtual fucking Lego. In fact, Lego is better because at least you have something tangible to show for your time at the end. Just because some people see it for what it is doesn't automatically mean that they are

Honestly, I don't know much about Vancouver. I live on Vancouver Island and I very rarely make it to the mainland. I could tell you tons about the island, though.

I've been mulling over this question myself.

That's so cool. My dad's a welder too. He worked at CP Rail for 35 years, then retired and moved in with me on Vancouver Island. Now he gets to ride his motorcycle almost year-round and go camping whenever he feels like it. A great retirement, imo.
