My stepdad was a special forces sniper, my dad was in the PPCLI, and my cousin and a friend are both currently serving in Afghanistan. My family tends to either be creative (artists and writers), nurses, or military.

Nostalgia? I grew up with them, I loved them. I also recognized as an adult that they were not nearly as awesome as 8 year old me thought they were. Of the three, Empire was the best, but then Lucas wasn't directing it so that stands to reason.
I dunno, have you played The Sims 3? Everything punches you in the face with the "BUY THIS AT THE SIMS STORE!!" crap. Every time you make a sim, or buy a couch, build a garden... It's horrendous and incredibly annoying. If you think that won't be in the new Sim City that you must always be connected to the internet to…
Mad props to this guy, awesome work. But why Diablo 3? What a terrible game. :(
I would agree with this. It had the best story to tell, it was darker and more adult. The Star Wars universe lends itself well to mature-themes, and I'm hoping with Lucas finally out of the Captain's seat we can finally see its true potential.
I've seen Hayden Christensen in other movies and he wasn't bad, so I wouldn't lay all of that on him. Ewan McGregor is an amazing actor, and Obi-Wan was a very weak performance. An actor can only go so far when the source material is shit.
I don't agree with that. The originals had terrible acting and cliche characters. The problem with George Lucas was he could take these amazingly talented actors, and have them churn out these completely half-assed performances based on some of the worst campy sci-fi dialogue in the world.
Yeah, used to brush them off as wingnuts, but there's so damn many of them now. I see American news media, and it scares the hell out of me. The amount of misinformation and full panic mode on fake stories is absolutely mind-boggling.
Well said.
I'm finally going to beat Skyrim, and then get Dragonborn and beat that. Next is Sleeping Dogs, then Risen 2, and finally Dead Space. I keep meaning to play it, and then I get side-tracked.
For someone like my husband who has incredibly thick and fast growing hair, this site is a godsend. He spends about $40 a month on shaving. Thanks for this, I just sent it his way. I might get in on it too, The Lover looks good. Better than my shitty Venus, anyway.
We keep our machines running with duct tape and wishes.
Exactly!
That's such a shame. I'm not surprised that Yvonne Elliman was amazing, though. She always has been. My mom sings like she does.
Haha, thank you for that. You made my day.

My military father agrees with the OP's police officer partner. He saw too many young men get their first guns and start thinking they were somehow better than civvies, or invincible. He said they were the type of men who generally were completely useless in real combat situations, the ones who freeze and piss…
Also hipsters and children. Seriously, I think the majority of crap I see on reddit is posted by people under the age of 17. It's like 4chan-lite.
I dunno, dude. You gave me the chills in this performance.
That's an awesome costume.
