Kotaku is about the nerd subculture, which in Japan is referred to as otaku. Otaku can be attributed to anything, really. There are train otaku. I've not seen any articles about how awesome model trains are, but I do see a lot of articles about all kinds of nerdy things like games, comics, movies, action figures, art,

The furry subculture isn't for me, but more power to 'em. They're not hurting anybody, and they seem to have fun. Furries are no different than LARPers in my eyes, both subcultures are subject to a lot of ridicule and scorn and yet they always seem to be having a blast. So, it says more about the people putting them

He is Canadian, as is Ray Muzyka.

Seriously, I'm so fucking sick of this.

Absolutely, and this is why I will never watch live TV with my kids. Everything they need is on Netflix Just For Kids, and I don't need to worry about them freaking out over things like Furby, or their self-image... For a while, at least. School's a bitch.

I stopped going to the BioWare forums a few years ago. The vitriol people were spewing at them over the ending of Mass Effect 2 was enough to make me not want to expose myself to that kind of toxic anger. It's the same reason I rarely went to the WoW forums when I played that game. Every time I caved and checked

You said everything I wanted to. I'm a BioWare fan, and I thoroughly enjoyed DA2. I didn't like all of it, but I never felt like I was cheated out of my money, and I get that feeling with a lot of recent games.

I'm not a big fan of rap, but I kind of liked the song. It plays sometimes on the alternative rock station that I leave my TV on, and I can tap my foot to it. The lyrics are pretty funny too.

Fire Emblem always has fantastic music, so I'm not surprised. I might actually get a 3DS now, I want to play this game.

She's dressed as R2-D2 here, and I thought it was really cute.

And also, checkpoints. They're all over the damn place, we take our impaired driving laws very seriously here. You don't need a reason to be stopped at a checkpoint.

Anything even remotely wrong is a reason to pull you over. No seatbelt, no brake light, haven't turned your lights on in the evening yet, speeding, erratic driving, and talking on your phone. If a cop sees you doing any of that, you get pulled over. You don't have insurance when he pulls you over? He impounds your car

I, too, have bi-polar disorder. I was medicated throughout high school, and decided to seek alternative treatments as an adult. With meditation, yoga, and a healthy diet I can control my urges on my own. I no longer feel helplessly trapped in my own mind.

Which you pay a premium for because the shit that's grown in your country is an abomination. I've seen all kinds of wonderful documentaries out of the UK on the 'dangers' of cannabis, only to be shown the terrifying crap you call 'skunk' that is actually addictive, and does kill people.

The police here actively search for people who are breaking the rules of the road. People on cell phones, without seatbelts, and lacking insurance get huge fines. It's not worth being caught, so people tend to not do it.

Woman, and it's illegal to not have insurance in Canada. You won't get a business license or a home without insurance. You cannot drive a car without insurance.

Well, the 'weed' you have in the UK is not the usual cannabis that people in, say British Columbia, smoke. It is addictive because it's been mutated, nothing good remains of it, no CBD or CBN content, just straight THC. It's bad juju.

People like him are more common than you'd think.

You can't make this shit up, one of the boss battles' dialogue sequence is as follows:

I would stay at home because I'd have insurance, which would reimburse any riot damage. Putting yourself in harm's way is stupid.
