They're games. People have been playing essentially the same form of chess and poker for hundreds of years. Soccer could remain the same in hundreds of years and people would still find enjoyment in it. People can take enjoyment in games without needing to see the wheel reinvented on a constant basis. I guess I just don't see anything to be excited OR hyped about anymore. Everything just feels like the same stuff over and over again. Even Bloodborne, the one E3 game that captured my attention, is a spiritual sequel.
