Understand why they did it, but I don't like/dislike that they did it. Unlike most of you, I suspect...

Naw, Robocop holds right the fuck up. Verhoeven's black comedy about amoral corprate excess is still as pertinent today as when written, the action is still intense and the poor dude who got toxic-wasted is still as disturbing as fuck.

Huh... must be nice to go to a McD's in Canada, where the food prep/processing laws are completely different than they are in the US. That's not to say we're using the pink goop, but that IS to say that this video only proves that they don't use that process up in America's Wool Hat.

This is why I have someone to hold my burgers while I eat them.

The benchmark does run on Nvidia cards, it just doesn't use Mantle. FPS dives all over the place, basically. But you can still use it to compare scores.

Or you know that's how the iron patriot suit looks in the comics.

Or a CHARIZARD :D

Ain't got nuthin' on Spider-Man spiders!

To be fair, MGS is likely to remain heavily stylized even so. They still model characters from a proper character designer and not modeling it off actual people.

Anything Japanese where you have to rub the crotch and chest of underage girls - 'bonus' if that also strips them.

Yeah, but you do kind of have to be a woman to be a Raiderette, so the fact that the Raiderettes are paid less fairly than the average stripper while kept to much stricter, 24/7/365 social expectations than, again, the average stripper...kinda a "women's issue."

A lot of people don't enjoy 2D games and retro-style graphics because they feel gaming evolution is something linear and that has been improving continuously. I personally see it more as different branches of a tree - with different heights, yes, but with each their own merits. And I'm perfectly fine with your opinion

Without sounding like I'm attacking you personally, perhaps you've just grown out of your imagination?

Not to be that guy, but that already looks 16 bit at a minimum. I'm right there with kineticdamage though. My friends had an Intellivision, but my first "gaming" system was a TRS-80 with a game called "Mega Bug", which was even more primitive than the Sega Master System I'd get later in life. So I appreciate good

I think it depends on the game. I find that strategy and puzzle games benefit from the clarity of pixel art. There's something mushy and imprecise about 3D rendered graphics.

Yeah, these days I tend to ignore games with the 90s look because I just can't get past the ugliness. Terraria and Starbound are exceptions to this, though, probably because the pixels in their pixel art correspond to actual pixels on my monitor, instead of being huge squares a-la Lone Survivor.

but this is like 32bit retro... o.O

Yeah, I think they really need to update to 16bit retro graphics. Then everyone will be like "woah!".
