the film never really leaves oppenheimer’s circle of associates. it deals with the consequences of japan through the psychological consequences on oppenheimer.

both the fourth and fifth movie feel like sheepish re-re-revisions of the fate of atlantis—like they secretly knew that the fate of atlantis was the story they should be making, but for one reason or another, couldn’t.

it seemed almost excessively tendentious. when the message is obvious from the outset, what’s the point in belaboring it?

it wasn’t “drowning”—the submarine’s internal pressure was compromised, causing the entire thing to be crushed under the truly incomprehensibly heavy pressure of the deep sea. they were likely all destroyed within milliseconds. 

gonna be honest this looks like more of the same visually unexceptional design that is quickly becoming pixar’s house style....

grow up

okay, but typically consoles get cheaper after three years. 

i believe dead reckoning part 2 is the intended end of the franchise, or at least cruise’s participation. they’ve certainly expanded the number of characters enough to do a spin off. 

i saw MI Fallout six times in theatres.
