i think The Rings of Power is going to be an astronomical hit. for one thing, it’s all-ages entertainment. the same cannot be said for Game of Thrones–even when it’s not blood drenched and full of sex, it’s subject matter is still not really kid-friendly.

i am really glad they went with something less obvious here—but the dancing bat ladies were among my favourite characters in the game, for sure. i would love something like this.

this is not really the case with avatar, especially when viewed in its full imax aspect ratio. that 3d is among the most nuanced, deep uses of 3d ever made. 

the superficial aesthetic of the world may remind of Dishonoured but I swear to god they just traced over Yarnham in order to design this world and its characters. The spaces and characters *feel* like Yarnham has been re-skinned

The Fall seems like the much better version of this film.

season 2 was such a bloated, padded out mess. it felt like a season that was done out of obligation to the expense of building all of those western sets for season 1—like, they didn’t know quite what to do or why the show hadn’t simply skipped ahead to where we are now. season 3 had some promise at the very beginning…

do you have a steam library? i’d say that a lot of the best games for steam deck, namely indie games like hollow knight, dead cells, etc, are already available for switch. so the deck appeals mostly to pc gamers who feel like getting a switch would be redundant, but still want to play games portably.
