my late 2013 macbook pro, fully-specced, still works perfectly, and powers my 4k display. admittedly i’ve been waiting forever to upgrade, but the staying power of the 2013 models, in particular, have been impressive. and the keyboard was pretty good too.

i mean, they have only had a few days. i imagine these will only improve.

the gameplay mechanics are legitimately terrible

i count myself among those currently replaying the witcher 1 on steam right now.

the issue for me isn’t so much the concept of fragmented timelines—as this does a lot to communicate Geralt and Yennifer’s loose loyalties and philosophical disposition, in stark contrast to the petty conflicts of simple “humans”—but the execution. i’m not sure we needed dates and times, although that wouldn’t have

i thought io9's treatment of lawrence in this article was extraordinarily petty and pro-corporate.

this is a really terrible paragraph. you’re inferring a lot about lawrence’s character, and sounding terribly entitled, all without sourcing or attributing anything: “We all know that Fox put its money on Jennifer Lawrence being the next big thing—so much so that audiences would flock to the theaters to see her in

the dialogue is often really obtuse, needlessly so.

i really want to love the Witcher series. the casting is, for the most part, extremely strong. but there’s a feeling of the basic storytelling feeling rushed, under-imagined, poorly orchestrated. cavill is obviously fucking perfect, which is why it’s a shame that i think the directors and showrunner are not the right

Where’s Action Button’s Ziggurat?

has it been ten years since 2010? yes.

i really enjoyed this episode. i think the show may be taking a long view on explaining the relationship between daemons and people, and saving a more overt exploration of it once the sheer jargon-filled nerdery of the narrative-which is in and of itself a tough pill to swallow-has suitably immersed the viewer. the

you don’t put a baby’s heart in an adult. in order for this to work these pigs will need to live for years.

uh, no, just not a fan of plastic toys.

so you’re a big fan of overpriced plastic tat for kids?

i sold my OG switch earlier this year. not because i’m disinterested in the console, but because there’s been a plateau of new games to interest me, and i believe a switch pro debuting next christmas will probably nail the “switch” concept perfectly.

that’s rather typical style for the interior of an office in russian/central asia

also, the farmer’s had their own mini-atst shaped droid that was helping them farm, so they weren’t luddites.
