i think it’s probably more important, in the short term, to deal with the threat of school violence *however* we can, until the government bans ar-15s.

you’re essentially describing Wheels of Aurelia — and perhaps this isn’t surprising, but managing to drive a car while also managing a conversation is more difficult than you’d think.

i’m old enough to remember when ghost recon was just a slightly different version of rainbow six. really miss the days of such off-line, un-intimidating fun. i’ve got zero interest in playing these always online games.

...in the seclusion of their own home.

and then followed up with “I’m dying. So what? It’s my body.”

e-cigarettes should be prescribed and supervised by a doctor if the point is to assist in quitting tobacco and nicotine product altogether. if not, don’t have any illusions that ecigs are anything more than another drug addiction moneypit.

shouldn’t this be titled “juuling is fine, actually (for adults who want to remain addicted to nicotine)”? yes, it’s less likely to kill you than cigarettes, but... i thought the great thing about the decline of cigarette use was the decline of people being addicted to a drug. you’re just shovelling your money away.

they should definitely reboot. the series has gone on about fifteen years too long.

this would be the perfect point to end the series.

i’m burned out on comics—it was superhero comics, batman in particular, that killed the passion, but without that hook, my passion for comics, comic stores, and all related media, faded in general. i had probably every issue of batman from the early 90's to 2009—in the end, it was grant morrison’s slapdash batman

anchorman 2 is what killed anchorman for me. i similarly loved the first film but was ice cold on the sequel.

as someone who basically dropped out COD after modern warfare 2's multiplayer amped things up too much—attracting a personality type i loath—this does sound interesting to me.

mcmillen seems to be no angel, himself. just look at all his burned bridges.

this honestly sounds incredible.

the story of the overweight guy feeling bullied into walking until his chafing legs bled is horrifying.

precisely. i’ve always reminded myself that there’s little distinction between pretending to be stupid and actually being stupid.
