it’s not ‘excuse’ exactly. but it does explain reality - people are highly flawed and often exercise poor judgment.

this season was the first i’d watched of rick and morty and honestly i thought it was a bit repetitive and dull - and the final episode of the season was really underwhelming.

i’m sure the fact that weinstein had already sunk hundreds of millions into funding his films had something to do with why he continued to work with him. weinstein is a terrible person, but tarantino probably felt some loyalty to the guy whose faith in his talent made him unbelievably successful and wealthy.

mcgowen, despite being involved in the film industry, doesn’t really seem to understand how it works. the weinsteins didn’t “buy” planet terror and death proof from quentin tarantino and rodriguez - weinstein bankrolled their production from the beginning, as he has done with tarantino’s films since reservoir dogs.

there are two accepted spellings -Colosseum and Coliseum.

my speculative suspicion is that it was a matter of butting heads - Bjork’s obviously a very creative person, in command of her vision. the thing is, though, is that Lars von Trier is similarly strong-headed —he’d already won the Palme D’or. many critics consider him one of the greatest living filmmakers. in this

this was wholly improvised. what you saw was pure raw genius on display.

i bet he’ll ignore it.

this is evolution in action. humans aren’t meant to live in florida. they’re literally wiping themselves out.

something critical to keep in mind - JOI probably doesn’t have the ability to break up with K. therefore, it’s not analogous to a human relationship - while it’s definitely “real”, it’s no different than the relationship between humans and software. he could presumably do whatever he wants with her, but only acts like

i think a significant modern age romantic malady is how we derive feelings of romantic attachment to digital figures (facebook, instagram, twitter profiles of stranger) while still retaining physical companionship in a diminished capacity.
