... or you might get struck by a car. honestly the odds of something bad happening are too high in this situation. what if there’s a gun involved?

i’m guessing the sex scene was never filmed because once they cast Natalie Portman the character was obviously changed to fit the age of the actress. the character could’ve been, conceptually, an older teen and it would’ve been at least inappropriate but at least not illegal.

Expendables 2 is so far the only good Expendables film.

south korean filmmakers are very unsentimental concerning contemporary korea. denying that its violence and misogyny would be sugar-coating it.

i’m glad i’m not the only one who thought raid 2 was boring and overly long.

yeah especially the final moments of the film with the survivors crossing the blockade the military set up.

the extreme violence of korean films has a lot to do with the fact that they’ve had a very swift economic evolution - rising from a long period of terror and uncertainty, which is still a distinct memory in the minds of many adults. so in many ways koreans are dealing with social and psychic scarring that will not

the writers are failing him - it’s not for a lack of talent.

they may not be making NCIS money, but at least they have their dignity!

it’s more likely that the production company wanted celebrities in its MET Gala sequence but didn’t want to pay non-talent, as they were essentially extras.

she’s a bad fit for modern films where she’s not playing a robot.

more like it’s the scene preceding the finale - she returns from the island. probably everyone thinks she’s dead. she goes to a pawn shop and buys some guns. then goes on a massacre at the evil company’s headquarters.

rise of the tomb raider’s plot was terrible. i don’t know why they took the setting of the first game (but it looks like they’ve removed its explicitly japanese characteristics) and the boring ass plot of the sequel.

well, if she hadn’t killed all the cultists, surely she and her friends would be dead. the only real argument is that the plot isn’t very “tomb-raidery” but it is at least internally consistent. probably anyone in that scenario would be upset at killing someone for the first time, even if their life depended on it.

pissant.

that tax credit is often calculated up front and companies take out advances on it.

i bet a lot of these companies also receive tax credits for their productions, similar to movie productions — so they probably consider that a percentage cut off their budget.

i’m not sure the writers have daddy issues or they’re inputting the simplest themes into their “screenplay generator” program.
