It can be done. As a bridesmaid, I was forced into a truly horrible outfit that even had freaking feathers on the toe of the shoes (I’ve had so many ugly bridesmaid dress I make the movie 17 dresses look reserved) and hose for a vintage nightie style gown. Just slapped one side of velcro down the shoe and another on

I have friends that play in the WNBA. Women’s Basketball is intense! Each player puts in 110% and injuries are pretty common. I think it’s much more exciting than men’s basketball.

the Lynx are playing Liberty tonight! We can both watch and support the league but then become fierce internet enemies since it is likely your team will beat mine but I’ll still talk shit anyway. Could be fun

Ha! Trick question!

You have to have a brain to injure it traumatically.

Copying my own comment somewhere else: Asian girl from a Buddhist family chiming in to say that this IS a bad idea, because it (a) is offensive to many in the West and (b) makes my religion into a cute accessory.

“But we’re selling the good swastika!”

The vandals really missed an opportunity with this one. It isn’t every day you come across a wooden statue that, with a step ladder and some hand tools, you could change the face to a cyberman or Jar Jar Binks or something.

I loved how Tomei’s Aunt May was the Neighborhood Hot Mom. Every waiter, dry cleaner clerk and gas station guy danced attendance on her. Tony Stark openly grooved on her. Every boy in her borough swooned at her feet. And she never came across as predatory or gross, just fun and adult at the same time.

My parents made a looooooooot of mistakes but they really put us and our needs first when they were divorced. It was a make the best of a shitty situation and it made all the difference.

If there’s anything that 2000, 2004, and 2016 taught me is never to trust the white American voter.

They should deport her.  Not like we actually want her back, but she’s a criminal without a job now.

I agree 100%. That kid would have had a horrible life with these people. Is it damaging and traumatic to be removed from your home as a child? Yes. Is it potentially MORE damaging and traumatic to live with parents that can’t care for you? Yes.

Yeah I don’t get the hate either.  It sounds like she did what was right for the child.

Not got anything to add to what you said but thanks for taking the time to write a clear response - sometimes these days it seems different views get shut down here but this is a really well thought out and written response and made me think.

Dude it’s been six months. How do you have drugs left?

You make good points, but this child will grow up amidst not only the abandonment issues adopted children often already experience, but with the publicity and Internet history to go along with it. They made him a public, monetized commodity, and he will know that some day. I’m glad he’s (hopefully) in a better home

I don’t think people who monetize their children like this really love their children the way children deserve to be loved and cared for, because your kids shouldn’t be treated like cash cows. They got him in order to exploit him just like they exploit their bio kids. These people make enormous amounts of money off

Beautifully put. As an adoptive mom, I tried to say something similar the last time this came up - I’m so glad you said this. Bottom line: is the child where the child needs to be. End of story.

We went through the process several times, including one that failed post-birth (bmom changed her mind), so you are 100% correct about the expense and emotional demands. My feeling is that they went into this with good intentions but poor due diligence, rationalizing the YouTubing as a way to pay for the care he
