I’m trying to finish Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but I’m having a hard time. There’s so much padding. It feels like they’ve even padded out the things that were more or less padding in the original. They’ve padded the padding!

That’s certainly true for some of them, but Maxis was huge. SimCity was a massive hit, and The Sims franchise remains popular to this day. EA still didn’t think twice about axing the studio after a single big flop.
Well I can’t top that headline!
Except they don’t need Anthem to salvage their brand. They have Dragon Age coming, likely well before the Anthem relaunch, and if it doesn’t save them it’s highly, highly, highly unlikely that Anthem can.
On one hand, I appreciate that Bioware are communicating with the community that’s there.
On the other...what’s the point? Anthem was completely DOA, and it’s been nearly a year and a half since it launched with essentially no post-launch support to speak of. Do they really expect anyone to wait what could be another…
They meant the art style. Not the locales.
It’s fine to say a game has dark marshes, cathedrals, skeletons, and zombies in it, but so does the Zelda franchise. It’s a matter of how those elements are presented.
Could we all just agree to never bring this up again
I never understood the “Diablo 3" wasn’t dark thing that fanboys bellowed when that game dropped. Act 1 is absolutely CLASSIC D&D style fantasy. Dark marshes, crumbling castles and cathedrals, skeletons and zombies. Sure, Act 4 takes place in HEAVEN so it has some bright areas, But largely its the exact same biomes…
I really don’t care either way, but if there’s no reason to hide loading, I’d prefer they ditch this mechanic. As much as I enjoyed FFVII remake, I fucking HATED all of the slow crawl, duck, crouch areas sprawled throughout the world. I mean, here and there it sorta made sense given the destruction and mayhem, but…
Who bothers to check their own tweets for coherency? You just type some nonsense and let the cookies fall where they may.
Is it weird that I actually love Xenoblade X, despite its flaws?
The difference is that Tim Follin mastered the NES sound chip.
What did remakes/remasters ever do to you??
8 new Civs, new wonders, new resources, new city states, new districts, new maps, game modes. This is a big expansion released over a year. I'm not 100% sure they meant to do it this way, or if Covid forced them into it, but it might help them make each update better than the last, and we may end up with a better…
AI improvements would be great. I agree. I think a good challenge is always required for a strategy game and it would be great if that challenge came from smarter opponents and not only opponents with artificially inflated stats for difficulty’s sake. There are some mods that I’m told help with it, but I’ve never…
Why the passive aggressive tone to this news article? Civ VI is a great game and this announcement is good news to those of us who play it. If you don’t enjoy the game, that’s fine, every game isn’t for everyone, but why report on its season pass just to take digs at it?
My advice to the world; get the fuck off Twitter.
So, more of the same then.
Why’s everybody down on Tom Nook like he’s some kind of capitalistic evil landlord forcing you into debt? The only thing he forces you into is the tent, and you essentially pay that back with rewards points for doing things on the island that you’d be doing anyway. Once you finish, it’s your choice to upgrade, and…
