It’s not really a choice, they are going to have to “go full Nintendo” because if you don’t defend your copyright claim you risk eventually losing it. Really I don’t know why people take the time to do things like this when they could have just made an original game inspired by.

I got high and watched Dune for the first time about a year ago,  and let me tell you it was a religious experience.  I was mesmerized.  

Killing Nazis is great and all,  but really I haven’t been able to kill enough clansmen in gaming.  It feels fresher.  

Vanillaware is one of the few developers where all I need to know is that they made it and I’m going to buy it.

As far as I am aware the Pi still isn’t powerful enough to run MvC2. The only version that you can emulate is the Dreamcast version and it takes more than a Pi to achieve anything that doesn’t suffer from slowdown.  

That would be the smartest thing they could do,  so they for sure aren’t going to do it.  

I don’t think the fondness for older games comes from people remembering them for their difficulty, more for the fact that they were complete experiences. Plus just like today not every game is created equal. I remember not liking this game when it came out because it just wasn’t fun,  and no where as good as either…

I enjoyed X more than the others.

I have been incredibly lucky with my Switch controllers and haven’t had any drift issues. I have heard about it being an in the Switch Lites and am kinda surprised Nintendo is having such a hard time fixing the underlying issue.  

I agree for the most part with you’re criticisms,  but I do think overall the latest expansion was quite good even though it’s definitely not perfect.  

I’ve had a Twitter from the beginning and have almost never used it.  Their numbers are totally inflated.  

Just how this place rolls now.  I got greyed after years of being followed, just for criticizing one of Heathers last pieces about how criticism is love.  Just nod and agree or they’ll send you back to the minor leagues.  

Hopefully Nintendo releases a 4k version themselves. I’m willing to give them money for it, but they have to make me able to give them money for it.

Amazing how criticizing an article about criticism gets me back in the greys after years and years of posting. Only on Kotaku.

Couple things.

Absolutely, get back to building upon what Sacred 2 accomplished and forget everything after that ever happened.  

Trying to make an esport league using the model of a real sports league is destined for failure. Real sports aren’t in competition with new games every year. Overwatch will be replaced by something else,  just like every other game. It’s just a matter of time.

It’s tricky though,  when you offer games that were huge hits a lot of people already have them or have played them.  For me personally, I already have Dying Light and many...  many... different ways to play Dark Souls.  V-Rally and Inquisitor though?  These are the games I need free,  the ones no one bought.
