Jesus, people, the guy is talking about weight loss supplements, not just advocating homeopathic only methods! He's not sending cardiology patients home from his office with a box of fucking herbs!

Oh, FFS - I'm an Atkins low-carb person but that doesn't mean you have to eat nothing but meat & fats! EAT A GODDAMN GREEN VEGGIE OR 5! I just stay away from sugars, breads, pastas & starches like potatoes. It *kills* me the way everyone assumes Atkins is just meat & fats when that is NOT. THE. CASE!

I mean, okay, my FIL had 13 cancers over the course of 45 years (RIDICULOUS) and he believed in homeopathic methods - he never had chemo, ate a healthy diet, used supplements and a naturopath who created the plan FOR HIM... But he also believed in HAVING FUCKING SURGERY TO REMOVE TUMORS and taking the non-chemo

The current explanation is that the body has been told that sugars are coming down the way, by receptors in the mouth, and responds by prepping for them. When they fail to arrive, the eater is primed to eat more, due to the lack of "promised" calories.

And it isn't just about speeding. Some years ago, at the press intro of the original PoS Jeep Liberty, I gently rolled one at about 30 mph, coming upon a sudden, unmarked 90-degree left in a light drizzle near Charlottesville. Baby-faced deputy sheriff arrived 15 minutes later and gave me a ticket for reckless

That's not conspiracy. It's fucking science.

You know whose opinion on this topic I give zero fucks about? Yours.

It's very possible that your employer uses the other portion of that delivery fee for overhead related to delivery operations (eg. insurance, packaging, phone orders, etc.), which would be fair. If a portion of that delivery fee is instead just going into your employer's pocket as profit, thats pure douchebaggery.

I have seen a few restaurants in the area that offer "Free Delivery". The only explanation I can give, is that they build the delivery cost into the cost of the product as a whole (increased prices on all items, regardless of delivery, take-out, eat in)

Anytime I have ordered a pizza online it clearly states at the end of the order that the delivery charge does not go to the driver.

Most assume, but typically none of that goes to the driver. Lots of time it goes to packaging and bags, etc. At least at the place that I worked that's how it was. All I got was a mileage stipend that was ridiculously low. Got no where near covering my expenses without getting tips.

Delivery drivers fall under the same federal compensation rules as servers. We are paid lower than minimum wage, and are taxed on 10% of our total sales, regardless. If you want to pay your drivers minimum wage plus the federal transportation compensation and eat it out of your own costs, open your own pizzeria.

If you're assuming the delivery fee goes to the driver... you're completely incorrect. It is a service fee that goes directly into the cash drawer. The driver sees none of that except for his measly minimum wage they receive.

Which shows most people are idiots.

That's the problem, people just assume. Our pizzeria charges a delivery fee as well, but the drivers don't see all of it, only a small percentage. Basically what's required by law for mileage

I deliver pizzas as a side job. I ALWAYS start giving back change, regardless of what is given to me intentionally or unintentionally, to avoid this type of situation entirely.

The circle will be complete when they start painting everything turquoise.
