I really hate the saying that "no one ever died from working hard" because I'm pretty sure it is really, really untrue - 4, 620 people were killed in the US in 2010 while on the job (http://www.bls.gov/iif/oshwc/cfoi/cftb0254.pdf), and some of them absolutely got into accidents because they were overworked or

Yes, I think this is true.

This is kind of OT but I remember going to a blockbuster when I was about 14 with my brother, and we tried to rent a movie that was PG-13, and the guy actually made us call our parents on the store phone to confirm that we were allowed to rent it. Good on you with the GTA thing though.

No effing kidding. I've listened to speakers who lived through polio and who talk about it, and it is heartbreaking.

Alright, I've got one.

Glad I could help :)

Yikes. Even straight up chicken pox as an adult is pretty awful. One of my room mates got it when I was in University, and he was out of the running for about three weeks.

I disagree with you. Anti vaccination and their positions don't deserve any sympathy. The anti- vaccine position is currently KILLING CHILDREN AND BABIES.

For me, it falls under the category of: Is this usually something kept private? or is it something everyone would be comfortable with in public.

Yeah, I agree with you on this one - even if you think you knew who it was who sent it to you, it is nice to know someone has your back in case of extra weirdness happening.

I don't know - the nature of the secret admirer gift kind of changes the equation a bit. If I got chocolates from a secret admirer, then I would be stoked. If I got lingerie from a secret admirer, I would be kind of creep ed out, because it implies there is a stranger (or an acquaintance) that has difficulty with

It would probably be a pretty heavy laundry basket, but I am a fan of this idea - I live in an apartment building, and getting any volume of groceries from car to apartment (more than two or three bags, anyway) is generally a multi step, multi trip process. I'd rather heave one basket about than have to gather a

Yikes that sucks! We were able to get him the medication he needed- but we also live in Canada, so emergency room visits like this are not quite so murderous.

Yeah, my bro wasn't feeling well at a Christmas eve party, (he was 7 or 8) and our hostess was a nurse. She took his heart-rate and told us we should take him to a hospital, because 300+ BPM is not normal.

If you can't stop attacks by yourself (easier for adults to do than children) then it generally means a trip to the hospital for some IV drugs. My younger brother has SVT, and that meant a number of scary hospital visits when we were kids (Horray Canada!).

Yeah, my brother has it, and we were told that he could get surgery if he wanted when he was an adult, but he didn't have to because he was able to manage it. I don't think he will, because he hasn't had an attack in a couple of years at least.

Oh man, why did you have to remind me of that scene. Easily the one of the most akward sex scenes I have ever had to sit through

Yeah, mine came out of a box, as did every hair color I had in high school. I didn't see my natural hair colour again until I was like 22.

Man 25% of the kids at my school would have been suspended if they had this guy as an administrator, including myself. Dyeing my hair stupid colours was practically necessary, and this girl has picked a completely non stupid colour on top of that.

Same as a slip - so that clothes don't stick to your body (especially in the transition region from pants to shirt). Also, there is no line from the top elastic of your underwear for the strange circumstance where that would be a problem.
