That episode is actually exactly what scared me off the esprit. Lol.

I looked at one a few years ago, but I got scared away by reading about some of the parts cost and availability. In retrospect it probably would have been okay, but I couldn’t get myself to pull the trigger.
Im with Kristen on this one(although everyones suggestions are great). The esprit is so stylish, unique and will definitely appreciate in value. Just buy one for a bit under $30k and buy a civic for a few grand for when the esprit is broken (which it undoubtedly will be quite often). The Peter Stevens designed ones…
For sure. It really depends on the car as well. The PFC’s are fantastic too, my buddy is an IMSA pro driver and most of the cars he has driven have them.
Interesting about the Huracan. I drove my buddies lp-580(he had one before the performante) over some of my favorite mountain roads and pushed it pretty hard. I dont remember any issues with the brakes. That being said, trackdays are obviously a lot harder on brakes, and what your buddy experienced really sucks. I…
Dtc-60 as a street pad!!?? I mean, I put street miles on them, but they suck ass until they get warm. Phenomenal track pad though.
When’s the last time you have driven a lambo on track?A good buddy has lots of track miles on his Huracan Performante and the brakes hold up great to sustained track use(he is a very quick driver and Sonoma raceway, Laguna and Thunderhill, all of our local tracks, are hard on brakes).
Blast from the past! I met him in Monterey during car week once, very nice guy. Sad that he died a few years later.
Meh, I daily drive one with exhaust in San Francisco (albeit in gray, not yellow), and have never had anything but thumbs up and good vibes. Most people dont give a shit.
100% this. I remember my buddy and I talking to a lexus rep at the quail lodge during Monterey car week, when the lfa was new. He was super confident about the market for a $400k lexus. My buddy and another guy we knew who was with us were arguing that it was unlikely to sell due to the brand having no cache at that…
Merde! Now thats some on the limit driving. Love it.
YOU CANT ASK ME FOR ID. I AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.
The overall proportion is still going to work well, but the details are pretty typically Bmw overwrought(aka, because we can make a super complicated bunper mold, we should). Ill reserve final judgement until I see it in the flesh, but the transition from concept to production isnt looking too elegant.
100% agree. I think its a handsome car considering the awkward proportions innate to the package.
Oh man, i used to do mileage runs on ua a few years ago. Lots of fun but irrops like this can really fuck up your plans.
Salomondrin is easily one of the biggest douchebag car youtubers out there, so I hope your joking. My opinion is not just based on his yt stuff(which is pretty insufferable IMO)- I know a few people who have dealt with him in the exotic car world, and ive heard nothing but negative stuff.
I actually laughed out loud.
