Car Designer here. The move to globalized standards wont get you that hot hatch they dont sell here. Since europe has mostly adpoted stricter regulations with Pedpro(pedestrian protection), emissions, and sound levels the last decade, it is not about confirming to NA regs. It is just that those segments of vehicles

Had the exact same thought when I read that comment. My favorite PS of all time

Yeah, its pretty typical for this author. Its a shame he is covering some motorsport...I miss the days of Steph.

Im no huge Tesla fan, but the model 3 is a great commuter car. Super easy to drive in traffic(since your commuting on the 80, there will undoubtedly be lots of that), and decent ride if you get the smaller wheel setup. The Mach-E is a great option as well, better built than the tesla and super comfy. Both will

How about Millionaires? Are they okay or should we fire them into the sun as well?

Not that it drastically changes your point about training, but I do have a friend with a Chiron(among many other cars, most more enthusiast/trackday spec, from all over the price spectrum). He has extensive track/racing experience and coaching and is a great driver. I know it wont change your negative view of rich

Haha thats awesome. I once had an FA on a regional jet that yam convinced was trying to get me drunk. She kept dropping off G&T’s at my seat(I had ordered the first one, but I never asked for another). She took my glass as we were getting ready to land and I was surprised when she brought it back in a plastic cup to

Agreed. Perfect take. As someone who had a couple years flying over 100k miles(thankfully not anymore), being polite and easygoing goes a long way. Flight crews have a tough job, and I always hated seeing assholes giving them a hard time(I used to carry a bunch of Starbucks gift cards to give them if someone was being

Was really fun meeting all the Jalops at the last meet(I was in the Gray Mustang GT).. unfortunately, I will be out of town this weekend, so wont be able to attend, but the last one was fun and good people. Definitely recommend going if you are local.

Car designer here.

Oh man. I cant believe I forgot BOM. I have their mug in thr cupboard so I have no excuse. Excited to see them finish the Mini by 2045.

Yeah, just getting into it. There is so much good stuff on yt, its hard to keep up.

Yeah, love me some motorweek retro. Brings me back to watching it on the weekend mornings on pbs or whatever as a kid. John Davis's voice is seared in my brain haha.

Some of my favorites: Carfection, Home Built by Jeff, Hoonigan, Seen Through Glass, Speed Academy, The Straight Pipes, Harrys Garage, MCM, Regular Car Reviews, Car Throttle, Taylor Ray, TommyfYeah, Smoking tire. Im sure theres more im forgetting.

As someone who works as a car designer for a large OEM(and does some wheels)-

Also professional wheel designer (well exterior designer for a large oem.. design more than just wheels but done quite a few). Can confirm. Many better ways to handle the spoke/luh hole misalignment. That being said it is way more preferable to work with a complementary spoke/bolt pattern arrangement.

I may be able to make it out if I can ve back home early enough on Saturday. If I do I'll be driving a gray '16 Mustang.

Me too. And I believe we work for the same company :)

Yeah, I generally will valet in big cities (Chicago, New York, SF). I moved from SF to Detroit and there are very few places that have valet here(or where it makes sense to). Ive valeted various sportscars over the years without issue.

I would believe it. The amount of crazy stories I have from years in the valet business would take years to write out.
