To be frank this can vary wildly from game to game. 
Some games’ glitches opens up the games inner workings at a point where you can basically see the gears that power the whole thing,
which is incredibly fascinating, while others can just be snoozefests of “Press A to win”.

Honestly the “why don’t you do it then” is the most feckless bullshit response that can be had for something like this.

And she got the idea because her abusive dad tried to molest her to see if she’d been having sex with the boys. That scene is so intense and horrible and THAT’S where Bev gets her big idea? That’s the part that bothers me the most, in a way.

It’s not terrible for writers to write about terrible things. But it is terrible when it comes out of nowhere and doesn’t seem at all believable. Readers got to know Bev in hundreds of pages before this jarring scene. This did not ring true to Bev at all. Extremely disappointing for many, many reasons.
