Couldn’t agree more. I experienced a similar circumstance from the moderators of r/anime with a video I had created for an Overwatch Anime styled opening using Mob Psycho 100's ED song. I had managed to piece it in a way that fit the tropes of a Shonen styled Anime Opening and it quickly shot up to the top of r/anime

Well they could have made a stand on this and not been dicks about it. Pin the shelter thread and create a pinned thread and have a discussion about it firmly stating their view point, and go at it and either convince people that its not anime (it most certainly is) or realize that the majority of the community sees
