For anyone else having this issue, as I’m sure there’s a surprising amount:
Somebody’s going to make it happen now.
But does it work for Birdie?
ICC and Ulduar are, coincidentally, tied for second in my Best Raids (Pre-Cata-Cuz-I-Didn’t-Make-It-Through-Cata) list.
If you’re in it to fight other people, what are you even reading this review for, you know you’ll buy it and know plays fine from the betas (once the standard launch day server woes clear).
Caveat: I ceased playing during Cata
Certainly the side I fall on, though I do enjoy experiencing the lore and am looking forward to the cinematic fleshing-out.
It’s simply on the individual customer to decide what their money is worth. Some want time and quality, others want to know they’re rewarding hardwork and care, no matter how brief; and these desires can change from title to title to company to genre to even the medium (ie the games vs movies worth dichotomy).
Certainly a trend I lean toward disliking, but have to truly take in the whole picture: how many of those games have dedicated scenes that keep the title/genre alive by displaying contests of competitive skill, or, at their base, are about being able to test yourself against another player? SF4 didn’t make it 8 years…
If the Pro Tour was later, the game would certainly have a later release date. But, Pro Tour is very soon, so it’s now with some of the more single player/casual features later. I’m fine with it, and I have to assume Capcom is fine with it given the obvious consequences.
They’ve eliminated any reason to do the edition-dance if they’ve planned it correctly and just keep adding updates, unless they want to get cute with patch notes/competitive seasons names. It’s kind of irrelevant what the name is, anyway, since any balance changes will be free and applied to everyone like MOBA patches…
Right, and the Challenge stuff is March. However, game’s releasing today and surely to be impacted in sales by every review adding a line about its incompleteness. Which is fine if it’s a blow Capcom’s willing to take.
A calculated blow on Capcom’s part, I’m sure, to release without more of the single-player offerings in the fleshed out Story and Challenges. Every review I’ve read so far is “Great fighting, but where’s the content?!”
It’s a well-designed cool-looking purple ghost blob that is the final form of a line of well-designed cool-looking purple ghost blobs.
As a bonafide Gyarados lover, I am ready and willing to put Magikarp above it.
MissingNo is both eligible and ineligible until the box is opened.

Gorgeous!
I mean, are pre-adult abnormal martial artist terrapins really THAT far off from what Batman deals with in the larger DC-verse proper?
