The physical requirements for roofing mean less women can physically do the work than men.

They don’t. But their parent company does, and Stephen doesn’t say shit. But when the hoax is hurting “one of the good guys” then it is a problem.

Is that why most roofers are men? Sexism? So you are saying that I could find a group of women, pay them less than men, and they could be my new roofing contractors?

Whoa, pump the brakes there. Let’s not get mean.

The pay gap doesn’t exist. It is illegal to pay men and women different wages for the same job.

Or it is making fun of a writer who might equivocate rape and dieing in a video game. Not the act of rape.

Stephen said this article is a “mean spirited hoax”. I think mean spirited hoax is the Gawker media mission statement.

It doesn’t seem any more mean spirited than the fake articles posted on Gawker as news. I guess you could say it’s satirical if not for the people using it for propaganda. But then the same thing could be said of many Gawker media articles.

Rape man says no.

OH thank god they changed punishment to motivation. I feel much better about virtually probing prepubescent girls now!

Gone Home the interactive after school special.

Nice tits.

wow. She sure does look like a character from a tv show.

It’s the problem that occurs when distilling hundreds of hours of lore into 120 minutes.

No harm then. It's just the idea of them replacing people that is wierd.

It’s a bit sinister since you don’t know what happened to the “real” settler.

The question is who has the lapses in memory. The player or the character. I don’t recall any moments in game where your character can’t recall his past(could be wrong here). I of course have huge lapses of knowledge of the characters past...maybe that means I am the synth?

I would say this is my least favorite type of “twist”. Unless there is some solid evidence in the game that you are a synth, this just leads to speculation. Which is fine, just ultimately unsatisfying.
