By your definition everything is a right. From clothing to food to housing to transportation.

Please provide evidence that 53k is “poverty level” in SF. You haven’t provided any “facts, figures, or analyses”. Just straight up whining.

I wouldn’t argue that art should solely be its own reward, but it is a fact that people often take less money to work in fields that they enjoy artistically.

Indeed they are. Nobody has a right to have an employee, no employee has a right to a job.

I have no problem with people wanting to work less to enjoy thier life. I made this choice myself to work a less demanding job so I could enjoy more time off.

I never said game makers didn’t work 80 hour weeks. I said the average hours per week have not gone up. They have actually been going down since the 70's in America.

A cursory search will provide you with any opinion you want, it’s called confirmation bias.

No, frankly it is not. This comment section is a testament to whiny entitlement.

You couldn’t get a car on 53k a year? What world do you live in?

It’s all relative. 53 k a year is a very comfortable living. If you think that is a “shitty” salary it might be that you have a higher standard of living.

Please think for a second.

So if the company I work for moves I HAVE to move with them because I have no choice? Please.

Classic.

Stockholm.

Both parties enter into a willing contract. If this contract becomes intolerable for either side they can break it.

Yes, finding a new job involves risk. Most worthwhile things in life do.

Because they are whiny and entitled. They could absolutely start their own business but this takes risk. Period.

Give me an effing break.

You’re not forced to do anything but make a choice.

Yes, it means absolutely nothing.
