True story: I was watching KILLJOYS with a friend who knows nothing about SF or, really, pop culture. (He’s more into hunting and fishing and outdoorsy stuff.) We were at least fifteen minutes into the episode before he realized—to his surprise—that the “ship” people kept talking about was spaceship. I guess he’d

I swear to God, my mother thought SMALLVILLE was a show about little people.

I like to think that I have a pretty good sense of perspective regarding what’s common knowledge and not. I appreciate, for instance, that FARSCAPE is much more obscure than STAR WARS, by several orders of magnitude. But I still get caught by surprise sometimes?

“Wait. You really don’t know who Yoda is?”

Amen. I still remember this one conversational trainwreck where a curious co-worker asked a friend of mine who the Flash was. (This was around the time of the first FLASH tv series.)

Alas, in an excess of enthusiasm, my friend launched into long, complicated lecture about Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, Wally West,

I still remember how excited I was to discover this comic at 7-Eleven as a kid:

Nobody is saying that ONLY signs and and slogans and chants and songs will change things. But symbols and street theater matter. Anything that whips up enthusiasm and energy helps inspire people to call and write their congresspeople, attend meetings, run for office, canvass for elections, and take all those positive

Saw a fair number of Leia signs at the March in Newark, Delaware this morning.

I was wondering that myself. Reggie was Archie’s eternal rival and nemesis in the original comic books and cartoons.

With all due respect to the others, Julie Newmar is the one true Catwoman.

(But how sad that no one has mentioned Lee Meriwether yet.)

I loved ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS when I was a kid. Haven’t seen it in decades. Bonus: Adam West briefly appears.

So the guy who pushed the birther nonsense for YEARS, and also insinuated that Ted Cruz’s father might have had something to do with assassinating JFK is complaining that he’s the victim of unsubstantiated allegations?

Can you say poetic justice?

Oh, for the love of God, is there no crackpot Trump is not embracing?

After she telepathically helped the nurse solve the sudoku?

Something like “Um, guys, about my gift . . . .”

Honestly, I was being a little tongue-in-cheek there. The folks at Electric Entertainment are VERY good about keeping me in the loop. I knew Cassandra’s operation was coming up— but when her powers seemed to have vanished for a few minutes . . . I still gulped a bit!

“Wait! Did I miss a memo somewhere?”

Thanks! Hope you like it!

(By coincidence, I just turned in the final corrections to Book 2.)

To be fair, THE LIBRARIAN tv-movies predated WH13, although I’m a fan of both series.

Confession: I spent much of the episode thinking “No, you can’t take Cassandra’s powers away! I need them for the next book!” :)

She’s been a regular for three seasons now . . . and a lot of fun.

Yeah, I liked the callback to “The Judas Chalice.”

I apologize on behalf of Pennsylvania. Trust me, I didn’t vote for Toomey.
