And Steve Gerber’s runs on THE DEFENDERS, MAN-THING, and HOWARD THE DUCK . . ..

While the Englehart/Colan/Brunner run on DOCTOR STRANGE remains my gold standard for the character.

Absolutely! Although I’d throw in TOMB OF DRACULA by Wolfman and Colan as well.

Could be.

I don’t know. I took it as him being as being of a man of 1917 or whenever who is naturally going to to try to discourage the woman he loves from venturing into danger . . . even though she’s Wonder Woman.

Kind of like how they handled HELLBOY . . . or MEN IN BLACK . .. or BLADE?

Trevor seemed more a catalyst, as he should be. The spotlight was on WW, charging into battle, taking out scores of foes in scene after scene, emerging from the trenches to face the enemy, getting most of the good lines.

The focus seemed squarely on the title character to me.

“What I do is not up to you.” Love it.

And the Golden Lasso effect looks cool, too.

Sounds like fun. Count me in.

Exciting news, although I’m not terribly familiar with this version of GHOST RIDER.

Had to chuckle, though, at the line about Nicholas Cage starring in “multiple GHOST RIDER movies.”

THE AMERICANS is quite possibly my favorite show on TV right now.

Who is the sculptor?

And at a science fiction convention no less!

Lynda Carter was undeniably perfect in the part, and I can’t wait to see her in the White House in SUPERGIRL, but I have to admit that I roll my eyes a bit when reactionary older fans insist that no new WONDER WOMAN movie can possibly be as good as the original TV series.

Um, have they actually watched it lately?

Pleased to see that THE AMERICANS finally got some love, but nothing for CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND?

Given that Robinson’s health was failing at that point, I can believe that he simply wasn’t up to the physical rigors of shooting an entire movie in heavy prosthetic makeup. (Looked it up, he died about five years later.)

Feel free to pile on. They still haven’t corrected it in the article. :)

As someone who dearly loves the original Universal Monster movies, I SO want these new movies to succeed, especially after the disappointment of VAN HELSING.

And, Universal, if you need anyone to write the novelizations . .. :)

Beat me to the punch.

Doctor Zaius was, of course, played by Maurice EVANS, who also played Samantha’s father on BEWITCHED and the Puzzler on BATMAN.

(Booth Colman played Zaius on the short-lived TV series.)

Did I mention there’s also a novelization?

(Full disclosure: the author and editor are friends of mine.)

Alas, the title GODS AND MONSTERS has already been used.
