Skirting the edges of the genre, can I also suggest VIKINGS and BATES MOTEL, both of which are returning soon?

I want to plug THE AMERICANS, too, although that’s not remotely sf or fantasy or horror. (Trust me, it’s amazing television that not enough people are watching.)

This is where I just happen to mention that the first LIBRARIANS novel is coming out in the fall.

We’ve reached the point where it’s all but impossible to watch all the genre shows available via cable, streaming, etc. Last night alone we had new episodes of The Flash, iZombie, Agent Carter, Teen Wolf, Shannara, and (I think) Shadowhunters. Even with all the viewing options in the world, that’s six hours of

My memory is fuzzy too, but I think it was more like he was a broken man after Seven died, not that he literally expired of grief.

Forget Harry. What about the EMH and Seven?

This is also a standard trope in Syfy channel monster movies, which are often built around the restoration of a nuclear family . . .. as estranged exes (and parents and children) are brought back together by the threat of megacrocotarantulasauruses . ...

And, yes, the New Husband/Boyfriend is usually a goner.

Sorry. I should’ve been clearer: that’s Linda Harrison playing her beautiful “reflection” in the mirror. (According to a book on PLANET OF THE APES franchise I read recently.)

I’m a believer . . . .

That’s actually Linda Harrison, who later played “Nova” in PLANET OF THE APES.

“Dawn of the Superfriends”—I love it.

I would’ve been SO into this movie when I was twelve . . . :)

To each their own. I’ve seen every episode and often laugh in recognition.

Dare I admit that I thought the Stilt-Man was seriously cool as a kid—and that I really wanted those super-stilts?

I always kinda liked Ruby Thursday. She was definitely the smartest and most dangerous of the Headman—and was created by Steve Gerber during his epic run on THE DEFENDERS (which is still my favorite run on that series).

Now, the other Headman? Now they were losers . . .. :)

Kudos for NOT beginning your review with some variation of “It is a truth universally accepted,” which I was starting to think was mandatory when writing anything remotely related to Austen . . . :)

Hah. I remember those days. As I like to date myself, I’ve been in fandom since Logan’s Run costumes were fashionable.

There’s actually an old WONDER WOMAN tv episode from the seventies in which Diana attends a sci-fi conventions. Lots of folks in LOGAN costumes can be seen, possibly because the same was doing a

I remember enjoying Offutt’s sword-and-sorcery novels as a teen.

Didn’t know about his “other” works back then. :)

Just as long as Supergirl doesn’t end up replaced by a blob of protoplasm from a pocket universe . ...

Heck, they also helped convince me to put her CATWOMAN comics on my pull list . . ..

Glad to oblige.

Talk about comebacks, though. Who would’ve guessed that, after being killed off in CRISIS decades ago, that Kara and Barry would both have their own prime-time TV series someday . . . .

I’m crossing my fingers that we’ll still be getting full SLEEPY HOLLOW recaps.
