Casting actors who can’t sing in the film versions of Broadway musicals.

Oh, that’s the not the genre you were talking about? :)

Honestly, I have no idea. I’m a bit behind the times.

Don’t forget Crispus Allen, who was also the Spectre for awhile there.

Moore’s origin had nothing to do with the new “Judas” business. As I recall, Moore’s origin had him being a angel who refused to take sides in the War between God and Lucifer, and ended up rejected by Heaven AND Hell.

But, yes, Moore’s origin was just one of four possible origins offered back in the day . . ..

So is Corrigan not a ghost these days? Because, originally, Corrigan wasn’t a human possessed by the Spectre; he was the ghost of a dead cop given supernatural powers. And even in later retellings, Corrigan’s ghost was fused with the Angel of Vengeance. Corrigan’s technically been dead since the 40’s, although he’s

Just wait until Harvey Dent starts committing riddle-themed crimes . . . .

If I had a dime for every time I’ve gotten stuck in a transporter booth with a fly . . . .

“Help meeeeee!”

I enjoyed MTV’s recent SCREAM tv series. Not to be confused with SCREAM QUEENS, although it surely will be . . . .

My work here is done. :)

Although I see I neglected to list the author’s last name, as in “Jonathan Maberry.” Clearly I needed to spend a little more time proofreading that post.

Thanks for asking. Can I mention that DEADLANDS: GHOSTWALKERS by Jonathan goes on sale today? It’s the first of a series of new novels I’m editing, based on the popular “Weird Western” role-playing game. The second book is already written and in production and a third one is in the works

As I recall, Wells later described the book as “an exercise in youthful blasphemy.”

But what about the Speaker of the Law?

Beware the House of Pain! Are we not Men?

I dimly remember the 1975 movie, which didn’t have enough space monsters for my teenage self, but which was kinda compelling anyway.

And the original black-and-white movie serials for that matter.

Well, I’d argue that John Carter had Tars Tarkas and Dejah Thoris.

Good points. And we can only speculate on whether Hunter would have showed us other sides of Pike’s character if he had continued with the role, since we met Pike when he was at a low ebb.

Honestly, I like his first “death” in GENERATIONS—sacrificing himself to save the Enterprise-B on its maiden voyage—than the “real” one later in the movie.

And then there was the thinly-disguised Janeway/Seven of Nine slash fiction that the author assured me was perfectly legal because she’d changed the names . . . .

Like I said, stuff gets rejected for all sorts of reasons. :)

The thing to remember is that publishers aren’t writing schools. If you’ve decided not to to publish something, you’re not going to want to spend any more time on it than necessary—so you can better devote your time and energy to the works you ARE publishing.
