Big difference: Wesley was a drip. Claudia has pizazz.

You know, it's probably worth pointing out that the original STAR TREK was written by the likes of Robert Bloch, Theodore Sturgeon, Richard Matheson, Norman Spinrad, and Harlan Ellison, none of whom are exactly known for their rigorous hard sf . . . .

Okay, I think Claudia is a hoot and adds a lot to the show. (Full disclosure: I just did the WH13 novel and had a ball writing Claudia's dialogue.)

Apparently, only Artie has clearance to de-bronze people. I suspect this is a new precaution established after Leena freed MacPherson, and MacPherson freed H. G. Wells . . . .

You know, now that I think of it, that sort of wild, anarchic behavior seemed more like the Marx Bros. than W. C. Fields. Maybe they should have smoked one of Groucho's cigars instead? Or played Harpo's harp!

I suspect that most Trek characters can be boiled down to one-line descriptions in the beginning: "the rugged, macho first officer," "the sensitive empathic counselor."

That was Artie's toothbrush.

There was also an old ALIAS ep in which her father explained that his new hybrid car was excellent for spywork because of how quiet the engine was . . . .

Didn't we just go through this on the WH13 thread? You seem determined to apply sensible Star Trek standards to even whimsical comedies like WH13 and EUREKA, which is kind of missing the point. And, no, I seriously doubt that anyone watches EUREKA expecting "real" science.

I was pleasantly surprised that that episode didn't go the way I expected it. I was sure the predictive lenses were going to mess with Lupo's head and make her all suspicious and paranoid, but, nope, we got a whole 'nother crisis instead. Cool!

So when does Lee Majors guest-star?

Yeah, I thought it was a made-up company like the one on CHUCK.

Bite your tongue! I'm a lifelong Trekkie, but Warehouse 13 is not Trek and it's not supposed to be. The last thing it needs is to get more sane and sensible and serious. It's the goofiness and insanity that makes it its own thing.

Maybe Marilyn's brush gives you an uncontrollable urge to sleep with a Kennedy?

Hmm. What would an evil Leena be like? A nasty empath would does terrible things to people's auras?

I like the way you think. Battle On!

While I agree that A VIEW TO A KILL is underrated, I always thought May Day switching sides at the last minute was a cop-out. I wanted a final, no-holds-barred battle to the death between 007 and Grace Jones (which is sort of what the movie posters and ads promised), but then she wimps out and saves him instead.

Yep, that's Summer in Knights.

Sounds like fun. I'll have to check this out.

THOR is going to be a tough act to follow, but I'm hoping Cap is at least as good. Lord knows Cap deserves a good film after those two awful tv-movies in the seventies and that thing with Matt Salinger a few years back . . . .
