In reality this $1M was more of a grant (gift) from the state. There’s additional tax incentives in play from the city of Goodyear where it was/is to be built.

and no disgruntled, establishment, D.C. swamp creature’s cowardly leaks can change that”

Only a quarter. We get the other quarter here in Arizona.

Isn’t visibility from rows close to the netting but waaay down either line going to suffer? Seems like even thin netting is going to obscure the view of the plate significantly once you’re looking through it at a 70-80+º angle...

I tried it a couple times and both flights had a flight attendant tell me to put it back, because those 3" I gained in sprawl space apparently ‘blocked’ the aisle too much for their tastes.

It pretty much has done the same colloquially in the US... but good luck convincing those Puritans at the FCC.

Well yeah, that’s why he had them put AMERICA in bigger, bolder, all caps letters. Because he lives in AMERICA. Then again, so do the Mexicans, Brazilians, the Hondurans... Canadians...

Funny... saw this story mentioned on a more clickbait-y site yesterday and it blamed it on iPhones “secretly” capturing audio... which I found suspicious since iOS won’t let apps access any hardware or data without explicit, granular approval via a pop-up.

Yeah, this is about the only comment in this thread I’ll hang my star on.

Yeah, this guy was brought in to basically run everything but the NE Corridor into the ground as an excuse to kill it off. Decisions are actively being made that are making all the long-haul routes less sustainable and less desirable to riders (and potential riders), so I imagine we’ll see a few more ‘deals’ like this

But how is

Naturally, this story comes a week after the fear mongering over energy drinks where they’re saying how 400mg of caffeine a day is a dangerous threshold— meanwhile the Monsters in my fridge have 160mg/can compared to the 340mg in a single trenta iced coffee... yet energy drinks are the ‘bad guy’. But go ahead and have

Honestly, I’ve never seen the appeal of seats that far down the lines but that close anyway. Generally the seats aren’t angled enough toward the diamond to not give you a sore neck by the third inning. And really, I think the shallow angle of netting once you’re that far down the line is going to cause visibility

You truly do the lord’s work for we PEG television folks who stare at 168 hours a week of empty automation system scheduling software and have to resist the urge to play an hour of an aquarium to see if anyone’s watching. (If they were, nobody complained.)

First tried the Impossible at our local Dog Haus (great place). Blew me away as honestly it was so well-seasoned and perfectly cooked, it was indistinguishable from the steakburgers served at another local place. Several co-workers and I have since also had the Beyond to compare, and I wasn’t impressed. They too found

Not to mention the medics would have gagged at the smell of it.

In theory, they definitely do. My last place was on a street with an HOA (disclosure: was also on the board for a while), and there were two identical developments to ours (same floor plans, materials, everything) elsewhere in town built at the same time. The other two either never had HOAs or they’d dissolved

Can we trust that it’s actually a turtle and not a tortoise at least?

And CAIR or something else Muslim-y, since NRA TV is right there with OANN and Fox News when it comes to stoking those flames.

Meanwhile the batter is stretching and airing out his own nut sack because he knows Godley’s nowhere near ready to throw.
