Well, I can usually handle Cooper. Lemon too often wanders into pundit panels that just end up reinforcing what people who hate him claim he always does. I don’t have a problem with him in hard news, but the panels are a wreck and he editorializes far too much.

Honestly, I never understood why the big networks bother with letting the ref’s calls go through on offsides/false starts and other boring, obvious calls. I mean, I direct community college football, and our play by play guys will run over the obvious ones since I can usually have the replay on air before the refs…

They tend to audio-follow-video a lot of the nat sound based off of what camera is punched at the moment. In theory (a la NASCAR) should give you a more representative sound space of what you’re seeing, but it does get a bit wonky with crowd noise sometimes.
