I’d love a count for who was left after the rain delay at Wednesday’s DBacks at Pirates. It was already a ghost town before it went extra frames AND then the rain started, but the wide shot seriously made it look like there were less than a hundred in the stands for the 14th and 15th innings. The crowd noise was

White Sox at DBacks last week managed me, two coworkers, and 17,999 others. Honestly expected more since it was 78° in there and 106° outside.

Guessing he was using his phone for IFB and the call dropped or something... meaning he couldn’t hear her anyway.

No. Pay the Rent is FUCKING GARBAGE. Nobody understands how to play that game, and it makes it damn near impossible to win even if you understand HOW to play it correctly. Everyone assumes you need to rank the grocery items from cheapest to most expensive to get from bottom to top, but that is never the way to do it.

Also the same studio where Real Time with Bill Maher is shot.

Don’t worry, by 2021 you’ll be about 7 minutes from the Beach Cities.

Yeah. Ump looked liked he was debating what he could do to him for the obscene bat flip as he was headed towards first.

I’m still i’m still wrapping my head around the physics of how a pop-up hit that high bounces so little when it hits the ground.

I’ve seen that shot used before, even in replays. Think it was during a DBacks game earlier this season, though I think it was on the road. Makes me wonder what standards MLB has for camera placement and framing of shots when it comes to replay usage... or if it’s left up to networks and directors to make their own

Then proceed to spend entire weekend trying to justify tampering with potential evidence far more than necessary, and miss watching the Derby at even Buffalo Wild Wings.

Is it that big of a surprise, coming from the sister company of the joint that’s flying rocket stages from 160km up back to the launch pad now?

I’m sure RT America will fill that void, even though the sad folks at OANN desperately wish someone would notice their existence other than their fifty dedicated viewers.

I think a two month injury anytime in the season is equally problematic for how they fare in the playoffs.

She’s checking the apartments across the lake for any interesting action.

Insects usually have that clear goo instead of blood.

You can tell I’ve live my whole life in the AZ desert because I made it fully 2/3rds through that article thinking to myself “why did he flood his backyard in the first place then?”

Yeah, and where’s the slo-mo replay from three angles?

I have to give props to the WWE camera guys who can fake shaky footage so well to help ‘hide’ the pulled punches and the like. Two decades into working in video, I just look like someone gave an octogenarian with Parkinson’s a camera when I try to shoot off the shoulder and add the camera moves like that.

The hoisting of the banner was a damn mess too. Looked like they planned that about five minuted ahead of time, nobody knew what to do, and the damn thing was wadded up the whole way up, while ESPN did their best to not highlight the shitshow.

I’ve seen some pretty impressive pinball live streams of some IFPA-associated competitions... so I’m kinda surprised that this didn’t get that grade of treatment. But it’s definitely an improving art over the last couple years. It’s a little more complicated than just taking an HDMI splitter to a PS4, after all.
