I always laugh when they talk about why they do these launches in New Mexico (or Florida... or wherever...) because of all the 'great' weather there... then constantly have to delay for weather over and over. They'd save themselves some trouble to pick a better place.

Exactly. There has to be something there, you can't just go USB to Lightning, or 30pin to Lightning, without some kind of chip in there. Besides, almost every 3rd party cable or charger I've had has been so flimsy or charged so slow that it wasn't worth it anyway. I had a car charger that couldn't even make progress…
