This actually confuses me a bit. I know a few die-hard American communists and they all react to any anti-Russia/Putin messages as being an assault on communism. As far as I can tell; they are the only ones left who conflate Russia with communism. Everyone else seems to recognize Russia as a fascist/cleptocracy.
