obligatory username-derived double post.
DONT YOU EVER SPEAK BADLY ABOUT CAMRY.
Maybeeee. Thats a lot of motor though, I'm thinking lightweight as possible - I think if they got this car down to 2600lbs, dropped in a K20 or comparable motor in @ 200ish HP it would be a blast. Call it the CRZ Si.
My dear old regal...
I miss my regal :(
Needs moar K20
I keep seeing and I keep wanting... for some reason.
yup.
More likely they attract other 50 year old men that can afford them.
I highly doubt the car would respond to being "chased" unless he just followed it to its destination - which is an entirely different thing. Unless he maybe ran the car off the road into a parking lot which would make him more of a jackass than the autonomous car. This guy is either an idiot or a genius, the people…
The example I was referencing was an actual example (or as close as I could remember w/ some rounding) from when I went to auction while working with the company. The car probably would have gone for less (focus) but our buyer had a lot of buying power and needed specific vehicles to fill up the lot so the prices…
^ this guy... knows what he is talking about.
^ you sound like a hipster.
Thank god for this sign. The problem with hipsters is that they are soooo bleeding-edge with their hipness that they are too hip to even be hipsters. Detroit is the obvious home for these SUPER neo-hipsters as it is just so cliche that it isn't even cliche in its cliche'dness. Plus now all these kids in skinny jeans…
already bored. Let me know when they go the route of Colorado and Washington and then maybe I'll start paying attention.
That is why i mentioned in an earlier post (very top) that I worked for a very large (D**** T***) BHPH, and what they are doing is downright terrible. They expect to 40% of loans to go into collections and 80% of those to become repossessions. But that is okay since people already put down their 1-3k, made a few…
Oh forgot to mention, the example vehicle above would be something like a base model 2006 Ford Focus with 55k, roll up windows and a 5speed. Or a PT cruiser with similar mileage and lack of amenities. Cars that are bought at auction for $5-6,000 before receiving MINIMAL "reconditioning" by unqualified mechanics…
The sad part is that generally the people at these dealerships are not the most... intelligent human beings alive. The entire process works off this assumption - the best part is when you get to the finance charge and payment section:
Ohhhh man - I worked a a dealership that does this... a pretty big one.
