In very heavy Boston-area traffic, if the traffic ahead of me appears to be stopped, and I’m the first person heading into that stopped traffic (especially if that stopped traffic is over a crest), I quickly throw on my hazards. Otherwise the person behind me may not realize it, and rear end me at a 50+ mph closing

I did coast-to-coast along Route 6 about 9 years ago, and circumnavigated the US about 4-ish years ago. Definitely was interesting! Coast to coast isn’t too bad at least, though interstates would be a lot better than the old highways. Looking forward to the report!

New line of lightly frosted devil’s-food snack cakes, shaped like a Model 3, and filled with a peanut-butter creme. Like Drake’s Funny Bones. You heard it here first!

Weird.

Such a pretty, pretty car, with some very serious kit.

Remember the time before BMW started focusing more on profits from angry-looking more luxurious cars with lots of settings and buttons, and when they instead sold happy-looking well proportioned sports coupes with straight-6s like the E46 that made angry, raspy music instead of wet farts for an exhaust note?

Just add up the totals from each segment. 25,000 units past 2 million.

Because at a track-day event this week I attended, Porsche told us the take rate for PDK on the 911 is 93%. That’s up from 75% five years ago.

Porsche has indicated recently that they may return to 6-speed manual transmissions in the 911, as there’s not much extra efficiency they gain from a 7-speed manual with the new turbocharged motors. 6-speed is cheaper, a bit lighter, can be built a bit beefier in the same space, and they have the feel completely

Toyota 2GR. Possibly the lowest TCO 6-cylinder ever produced. A Lexus GS with a 2GR can easily be a million mile Lexus.

Need kitten pictures meow. Cat thread: Go!

Faster than a dog to a food bowl when hearing the food container being manipulated?

...until their entire community is a mass of piled tires and rivers of 10W-40.

Sucks. I’ve been watching him since he was a pilot for Mercedes.

I asked Kyle why the heck he was using a scissor Jack at work, and he told me that his shop, a semi-shop, has big air jacks, and no car jacks. The shop is supposed to have two-ton car jacks, but for some reason, it doesn’t have them yet, and Kyle has to make do with “only limited resources.”

Either she didn’t know or she’s preying on ignorance (just as they’ll try to sell you active investments) and acting purely as a salesperson purely in the interests of the bank.

No. You do all the applications within a short period (like a week), and the credit bureaus know you’re shopping around, and they don’t ding you as a result since they factor that into their scoring models. You can do many pulls in a week or two and it’ll be treated basically as if you did only one.

Mine isn’t. When you pay this much money for a car, part of that goes towards amazingly comfortable seats where a numb butt isn’t possible.
