There is something that bugged me about the tone. I’ll probably need to watch it again to clarify, but it’s something like this:

I thought Felicity was super boring. In fact, I didn’t care at all when any of them died except Baze and Cassian a little.

Honestly, the whole bit on board Leia’s ship should’ve been cut. Film went from Vader’s Massacre that the plans barely manage to escape from, a fitting summation of the film’s third act about how costly a victory it is against an unstoppable opposing force...

I’m glad to see Rey and Jyn, and the movie passed the Bechdel Test, but that’s a really low bar. But still: why were all of the Imperial scientists men? Why weren’t there any other women in the Rogue One group?

No character is ever done with the Star Wars universe. That entire galaxy is one big pet sematary. They all come back and they come back wrong.

Thank god they didn’t try to shoehorn in Threepio and Artoo. That would’ve just been jarring and seem like it didn’t fit in the film at all.

These were the only moments of the film I didn’t really like that much, because they took me out of the dialogue completely.

This criticism of Krennic is kind of weird because the reviewer is trying to make Krennic something he isn’t. There are scenes specifically written to show that Krennic is no Tarkin. His whole arc is him shouting “look what a badass I am!” and everyone else going “Oh fuck off please.” That he does not inspire fear…

So it looks nice, but characters kinda blow. Random plot point, but action is awesome.

Interesting thing. My kids preferred Despicable Me. My wife and I preferred Megamind and have re-watched it on cable later. I honesty think that movie has a lot more heart. DM is fine, but the minions just drive us nuts (funny in small doses). "Minion" from Megamind on the other hand is one of my favorite sidekicks…

Huh, I liked Megamind much more than Despicable Me. I can't even really remember the latter's plot.
