I tried Harry’s and hated the smooth handle that wants to slip out of your hands, and the blades in my trial pack all sucks. And here I mean, out of the box they gave me a shave like a six month old Gillette Twin used to shave gorillas.

My next attempt was to try Dorco’s Pace 3 & 4 Try Me pack. The blades were fine,

I’m interested in the Elio, assuming that it ever comes to market....

I have three sedans, (mine, the wife’s and one for the kids to share), a trucklet (‘82 Dodge Rampage) and an RV (‘82 GMC Class C on a G30 chassis). I live west of KC and work in St. Louis. I’d love the Elio for commuting without the hassle of summer

Nice enough car, other than the little bit of rot, but way too much money for it. Under $5000 and I’d consider it...

For me it’s a close call... I had a ‘88 Pulsar NX 5-speed and I loved it. But this one’s auto.... But it has the wagon.... but... but...

Eh. I’ll vote nice price.

As I recall, the Chinese version of the Passat is quite a bit more upmarket than the US version. It’s more like saving an A4 or perhaps an A6.

I need a new engine in my ‘82 Rampage....

The issue is that, when I bought my 2000 Excursion, in 2007, the v10 gas 4x4 was selling for $9,000, while an 2001 diesel was selling for $20k. $11k buys about 12* years worth of gas before the fuel costs equal the diesel premium.

I’ve been slowly replacing my incandescent bulbs with these from Walmart.
They’re listed at $2.17 each, but they frequently drop down to $1.88.

I’ve seen a Pinto 4x4 before...

I built my first smoker more than a decade ago, out of a couple of large terracotta pots, an electric burner and a Weber grill grate (thanks Alton Brown). My next smoker was a Brinkmann Smoke‘N Grill I picked up at Walmart for $25 at a “End of the Summer” clearance. When the drip pan rotted out, I replaced it with a

I’m 5'10" and my son is 6'2" and sure it was tight, but with how the seats are made it wasn’t too bad. Their seats are basically plastic shells with a thin coating of padding, the back side is a bit hollowed out compared to a standard airline seat.

I’m not saying it was the lap of luxury, but when I can fly a family

I’m just saying that my flight must have been hijacked by competent pilots and flight attendants that cared.

My travel has been limited to JetBlue, Delta, Southwest, United, American and Spirit. I’d rank those as...

I totally agree. Where’s the “your favorite coffee maker under $75" poll?

I’d be... “Cool, whatcha got? Maybe we can go to the range sometime...”

Heh. I’m pretty much the complete opposite... It’s not that I can’t change my own oil or haven’t done it in the past, it’s just that I don’t see it as worth my time for what’s usually a minimal savings. Having said that, I do most of my own repairs to my vehicles to include replacing A/C compressors, spark plugs,
