It depends on the job. Less than 30 minutes of work and cordless will usually work fine. Anything longer and you'll either need 3+ batteries and chargers or a cord. My wall outlet never runs out of electricity...

Wow, has Chrysler fallen that far, that you've given up on picking on them? ;-)
I just replaced my Jetta with a Passat, but I went with the simpler 2.5l engine over the 1.8t. I have 300,000 miles on my Jetta with minimal preventative maintenance outside regular (synthetic) oil changes every 7,500 and plugs every 75,000.
I've been told that a water pump replacement on a '97 VW Jetta would cost ($600~) because of all the work to get to the water pump. But the '97 model year had two different 2.0 engines, one had the water pump behind the timing belt and the other had it behind the power steering pump. When I mentioned it to the…
So it was about the same as a Ford Excursion...
I made the opposite mistake today. I thought I was being followed by a Genesis, but it was a Mercedes S550 instead. Oops.
I've been hauling around a '84 Dodge Rampage for the past 10 years. (Yes, honey, I'll fix it for you one of these days.) That covers 6 homes, 5 moves and 3 states. Somewhere around the 3 home the brakes decided to lock / rust together, so the past few moves have involved quite a bit of work with a Reese two ton…
Unless you have a pet....
Wait a minute, the 1970's Iran was run by a guy we put there. (Admittedly in a underhanded way....) But doesn't that partially invalidate your argument?

I purchased a 2012 VW Passat back in January. I'm glad that I got an 2.5l I5 instead of the 1.8T available in the 2014's.... While they both have 170 hp, I have a lot more faith in the "archaic" 2.5 over the "modern" turbo engine.
I was using darthd's number for simplicity.
Ditto on the big ACC band, drinking and nakedness.
I travel a fair bit for business, flying all across the country. I wanted something easily portable, lightweight and cheap. I found one of these on eBay for $5, or here's one at Amazon for $10. I can toss it in my travel bag with little fear or worry if I loose it.

WTF, this is the one question where the answer of Pontiac Aztec is the correct one!
I moved to Avast several years ago after I got tired of scheduled scans kicking off when I was trying to use the PC. Avast's screensaver scan is pure genius!
I only had to remove 100% of the dash... Somewhere I have a photo of the interior with just the wiring harness.
My story isn't about warranty work, but body shop work after an accident. The car was an '86 Merkur XR4Ti, a nice young man (16) in a '76 Torino Wagon ran a stop sign and I bounced off his front bumper and slid into the oncoming traffic lane. The accident really did a number on the German Ford, the front bumper…
