Personal theory: It’s supposed to be bad.

Can EVERYONE stop using “Metaverse” for now? The metaverse doesn’t exist yet. It will not exist as Facebook had shown for at least like 10 years (if ever). Everyone trying to hype metaverse stuff now is just showing one of any number of shitty VR Chat knockoffs.

I’ve come across screenrant on YouTube & it’s filled with awful clickbait + deceptive thumbnails.

I’ve basically stopped reading steam reviews these days. I’ve starting loathing those reviews that are just check boxes and don’t actually review the game in any meaningful way and really only check the reviews if the overall game score is low.

Look up video reviews. That’s what I usually do

Can we please stop giving attention to the deliberately dumb reviews like “disappointed dad simulator” and “angry man swing axe”. When I’m trying to search a game and see what the reviews actually detail it’s annoying as fuck given how many of them are now increasingly “meme” nonsense that gets attention in articles.

I was REALLY hoping to hear about an Index 2.0 from steam heading into this year... I’m very interested in getting into VR, but don’t want to invest in a 3-year old piece of tech.  Might be time to just accept my fate and snag a Vive Pro 2.

Yeah I wonder if MS won’t put it on the PS for at least a year or two, but keep exclusive DLC and modes on the Xbox.  That will slowly get the base to shift before they make it completely exclusive.  It is probably a better financial decision too, because I doubt 20 million PS players are going to suddenly buy an

I think the long term play here is to create so much pressure that Sony and eventually Nintendo are forced into incorporating Game Pass Cloud Streaming on their systems, because that is an option Microsoft has been pursuing since day 1. I imagine you’ll see them start to create more and more pressure through games

Any list of Valve/Steam releases that doesn’t include Half-Life 3 is automatically a disappointment.

I’m still expecting that it’ll sell out the initial run but not set the world on fire so Valve will immediately get bored of it because of that and therefore by 2024 it’s abandoned.

If anything this is in keeping with the spirit of the Roman Senate.

lmao what?  Can you point to what parts of this are either lies or propaganda?

I agree that I prefer Sony’s strategy of working to grow devs and building those working relationships, but let’s not pretend that Sony is some family business. They are not doing anything that isn’t 1,000% financially motivated, and until very recently, they’ve been stingy about any of their exclusives being

Capitalism rewards risk-taking, you guys. That’s why CEO’s can devalue and embarrass their company their sheer corruption and incompetence, get bought out and still expect a $300 million bonus check for being fired.

What exactly are lies and propaganda???

I hope *anyone* is alive to see that.

I doubt MS is going to make a bunch of the major franchises exclusives right now. I would say the most they’d do is give those titles an exclusive window on Xbox before releasing them multi-platform.

Didn’t Bungie buy themselves out from Activision a few years back? Acti is still their publisher, but not their owner. As far as I recall. Bungie could publish under 505 if they wanted, at this point.

I think.
