I think the coloring might also be a factor. The circle button is red which is typically associated with being negative or exiting (exit signs, stop signs), while the X button is light blue which is close to green meaning confirm or go.

maybe because i’m asian american but x in america is cancel as well, and o in american is connect to “on” as in close circuit. In america we cross things out with an x and select things by circling them.

I don’t know, I don’t actually think one needs to read too deeply to understand what the developers were going for in the original Battletoads on NES; it boils down to starting every sentence with “wouldn’t it be cool if...”

There’s a ton of veterans who come back and don’t have a great outlook on what the army/military do. It’s part of trauma. Regardless of if the person is pretending to be military or not, you’re being a huge hypocrite.

How is there so little discussion on lowering the outrageous military budget? Like that money couldn't do actual good instead.

The problem is that Apple could be argued to be in serious violation of antitrust laws. Remember how Microsoft got judgments against it for improperly tying the Internet Explorer browser into the Microsoft Windows operating system?

Epic is setting a precedent. If crApple caves for them, they will have to do it for all publishers.

“Pay what they are asking, or negotiate something better.”

Imagine suing a brick and mortar business for refusing to distribute your product for free.

I agree with more transparency, but game trailers and highly scripted videos of announcements aren’t exactly what I would call transparency either.

I have 10k cds; 2k vinyl; and most of it is “jazz” of varying sub-genres. Countless digital albums...

The big Mario debate is usually Super Mario Bros. 3 vs. Super Mario World. I favor 3 myself—it blew me away, while World felt less freshbut I can’t begrudge anyone going with their heart.

Simple enough: Those aren’t in any of our personal Top 3s.

I might’ve had SotN up there as recently as 10 years ago but I’ve cooled on it a bit. Still amazing, but I’m a bit tired of it. I played the HardType fan patch two years ago, that was a nice way to revisit.

Really, you mean those other conferences that fail every year because they forget to bring actual in game footage?

I am in complete agreement on the ‘wandering band of supermodels’ trope being annoying as all heck these days. Unfortunately, as always, sex sells and it shows in the sales of the recent Final Fantasy games.

The worst part is that it’s completely pointless. The made-up terms don’t convey anything that you couldn’t get with words that were already just laying around, and create an additional problem by just sounding stupid. Make fal’cie gods, make l’cie chosen ones or something, and you’ve got a comprehensible story that

The way Dark Souls does it is like archaeology, though. You find artifacts and learn a few obscure facts about them, but you’re forced to put the pieces of the lore together based on the locations the artifacts are in, and the relationships you uncover about characters. Putting together the lore becomes part of the

Haha! All three are really more alike than they are different. If it ain't broke, reuse it until people can't stand it anymore.

Lightning isn’t Cloud.
