No tomatoes in gumbo. Ever. Do you want my Cajun grandfather rolling over in his grave?

It’s the sales manager of the dealership I leased it from.

I’m getting the same, except it’s my 2020 Veloster that Hyundai wants me to turn in 16 months early and they’ll “help me find another car. According to Hyundai’s website, there is not a Veloster on a lot within a 250 mile radius of me.

My understanding is as you said: closing a card lowers your available credit, and so could boost your utilization if you’re carrying a balance. For example, you have 2 cards, each with a $500 limit. You have a $250 balance on one card, so available credit is $1000 with 25% utilization. You close the other card; now

I scrolled the comments specifically to see if anyone mentioned this.

Hot tip: they are a scrollable list on a mobile browser

If you have a blender ball, toss it in the jar when you shake up your dressing. I actually store my leftover dressing with the blender ball in the jar for easy re-mixing.

What is the consensus on tennis balls made specifically to be dog toys? For example, Kong makes a squeaky tennis ball that my pupper adores.

Check security is horrible. You are handing someone a piece of paper with your name and routing and account numbers on it. There is so much fraud that could be done with that info.

Not true. A bank covers debit card fraud just like it covers check fraud. They have a certain number of days to issue a provisional credit, though they can retract that credit if they find the transaction in question is not fraudulent.

As soon as my nails get the slightest chip, my fidgety fingers start picking at it. This would last me 2 days, max.

Mardi Gras trees are a bit of a tradition in New Orleans, especially since Carnival season officially kicks off on King’s Day, Jan 6th, aka the 12th Day of Christmas. We just change the decorations out.

I carry the wipe I use on the cart with me for this reason. Since the produce section is usually at the front of the store, it is still damp enough to moisten the fingers.

It is one of the 4 days of the year that those with the ability to travel can go through the stones to another time, of course (the solstices, Beltane, and Samhain). Have you not watched Outlander?!

The trick is not let the garlic dry. Rinse immediately and use a brush to push the pulp out under running water.

I know they generate more waste, but switching to daily lenses has been a game changer for me, even pre-pandemic. They are thinner, less irritating, I touch my eyes less, they do not aggravate my allergy-itchy eyes, and no case is needed.

I could see this being useful for travel (one day...) to cities that are known for pick-pockets targeting tourists. Are the straps slashproof as well? I’ve heard of thieves slashing the straps and running off with the whole bag more often than knifing the bag to get to the contents.

Why keep 3-5 weeks of expenses in checking? Now that the Fed has removed the Reg D transfer limits on non-transactional accounts, wouldn’t it make more sense to stash the majority of your “cash on hand” in a savings account to at least earn a little interest until you need it? There’s no penalty for transferring it

Give blood. Because convalescent blood is in demand right now, many blood donation centers are also performing covid antibody testing on all donations. So you save a life, find out your blood type, find out if you have antibodies and potentially save even more lives, all for 30 minutes of your time. And they give you

Can I multitask and mix a little honey into the melted butter, then brush it on? Or is there an advantage to layering them separately?
